With more than 22,000 storm drains in our community, the City needs everyone's help to keep our drainage system working. City crews work hard to quickly open as many storm drains as possible, but we still need resident's help as we cannot clear them all. If you are able to safely chip away at ice, or remove debris from your neighbourhood storm drain, any small effort makes a big difference.
Report a Blocked Storm Drain or Area with Poor Drainage
You should report blocked storm drain or areas with poor drainage when the water that has accumulated may be hazardous or can cause significant property damage.
To report a blocked storm drain or an area with poor drainage to be inspected, submit a service request online or call Service Regina at 306-777-7000 weekdays between 8 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. You must provide the location of the storm drain or area either by street address or by the nearest intersection.
Crews will inspect all reports of poor drainage and make repairs only if the poor drainage will cause significant property damage since repairs can often make a situation worse. For example, fixing a depression on a front street to correct drainage often moves the problem further down the block. It may take a while for crews to come out as all requests are prioritized according to severity/the priority street plan and completed on that basis.
