What is I Love Regina?
Initiated in 2002 and driven by the Office of the Mayor, "I Love Regina" is based on the successful "I Love New York" campaign and was intended to shift residents’ attitudes towards our community and improve our city’s image. In its 20 years, I Love Regina has made great strides in improving our image locally and across the country.
I Love Regina Day takes place on Saturday, August 17 at Victoria Park. This free event celebrates everything that makes Regina a great place to live, is fun for everyone, and is a fantastic way to show your love for our community.

First Aid
- On-site first aid is provided by St. John's Ambulance and will be located by the Information booth in the north section of the park.
Parking
- Designated accessible parking is available on Scarth Street and Lorne Street.
- Free parking on event day is available in the City Hall parkade. On-street 2-hour metered parking is free on Saturdays. Please do not park in reserved/bagged meter spaces.
Washrooms
- Portable toilets and accessible portable toilets are available on-site.
- Fully accessible washrooms, change tables, and flushable toilets are available at the Victoria Park Kiosk (northwest of the park), Regina Public Library, and Cornwall Centre.
BBQ
- From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., a FREE BBQ with beef and vegetarian/vegan burgers will be served at the cenotaph at the centre of the park. Burgers are available while quantities last.
Food for Purchase
- Food trucks on the Plaza will be serving food for purchase. These include Truck n' Delicious, El Tropezon, and JP Conessions.
How to Get Here
- Regina Transit bus stops are located near Victoria Park along Victoria Avenue and Lorne Street.
- Bike Regina is hosting their free Bike Valet near the northeast corner of the park.
Water
Bring your own water bottle and use the Refill Station in the northeast corner of the park.
Accessibility Information
- Accessible parking is located beside Victoria Park on Scarth Street and Lorne Street, and nearby on Victoria Avenue and 12th Avenue.
- Accessible portable toilets are located on-site in Victoria Park.
- Permanent, accessible washrooms with change tables & flushable toilets are located in the Plaza Kiosk (west side of Plaza) and the Regina Public Library.
- Quiet Spaces can be found in the Regina Public Library and in story time corners at RPL’s booth in Victoria Park.
- Shaded tent space is provided in the Kid’s Bouncy Zone.
- Air conditioning can be found in the City of Regina’s articulating bus and the Regina Public Library.
- The free water bottle refill station is on the northeast side of Victoria Park. There is a dog bowl on the water station for your fur babies.
- Food Options at the BBQ: beef and vegetarian (vegan) burgers.

Metis Sash Weaving with artist Brenna Pacholko
Brenna Pacholko is a Metis woman with Indigenous ancestral lines extending to Metis and First Nations communities throughout southern Saskatchewan. Brenna has been teaching for 16 years and is currently an instructor for SUNTEP, the Saskatchewan Urban Native Teacher Education Program at the University of Regina. She teaches future teachers' classes in art, science, professional studies and social justice education. She loves beading, getting involved with her community, camping & travelling!

Established in 1917 as the Regina Patricia Hockey Club, the Regina Pats boast a rich history spanning over a century. Named after the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry, they're the oldest major junior hockey franchise in the world. As proud members of the Western Hockey League, the Pats clinched WHL championships in '74 and '80 and claimed the Memorial Cup in 1925, 1928, 1930, and 1974. Regina's bond with the Memorial Cup runs deep, having hosted the event seven times, most recently in 2018, marking both the cup's centennial and solidifying the Pats' storied legacy.

School of Rock is a worldwide network of performance-based music education centres. Students learn music through performing in seasonal shows which accelerates growth and is way more fun! Students can audition for higher levels such as the school House Band which performs at community events, and AllStars, which only 1% of all students achieve. Terrance Littletent
Terrance Littletent is from the Kawacatoose Cree Nation and born in Regina, Saskatchewan. Much of his traditional teachings were inherited through his family and elders, singers and dancers, storytellers and academics. Terrance is an accomplished Grass and Hoop Dancer who has traveled across Canada, the United States, and overseas, sharing his gift of song, dance, and narrative, in humble way. At the age of 6, Terrance had already been introduced to the traditional techniques and movement skills used to create his own dance choreography. By the age of 8, Terrance’s uncle, Kirby Littletent, presented him with the gift of the hoop, which inspired Terrance to continue his uncle’s legacy of sharing the ways of their people. 11 years later, Terrance became recognized as a World Renowned Hoop Dancer. As an educator, producer, and performer, Terrance continues to find ways to bridge traditional and contemporary dance and music styles.
