Legacy Program
The City of Regina’s Legacy Program provides opportunities to dedicate a plaque, bench or tree in a municipal green space as a way to pay tribute to an individual or group.

The following factors will be considered in the approval of sites:
- Current use of the area
- Current density of benches in the area, as well as, underground utility locates
- Current density and tree types in the area including right tree size for right space consideration, as well as, underground utility locates
- Access for pedestrian and bicycle movement around the tree or bench
Tree planting or bench installation dates cannot be specified due to weather, supply, parks maintenance/construction and special event situations, installation may take up to 12 months. Payment in full is required prior to the ordering process beginning.
Throughout the process, you will work with the Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services department for assistance with site selection, donation steps and project completion.
Bench and tree donations are eligible for a taxable receipt.
Leave a lasting legacy of a loved one. Complete the Legacy Program Application Form and email to PRCSAdmin@regina.ca. For information on applicable costs, see Fee Schedule Appendix A.

We offer several memorialization options at Regina & Riverside Cemeteries for you to choose from to honour the life of your loved one. Please contact our Cemeteries Administration Office at 306-777-7395 for plaque options and availability.
