The 2025 Spring Street Sweep Starts
The City of Regina will begin street sweeping neighbourhoods across the city to freshen up our community, clear away leaves and remove sand and debris from roads.
The spring street sweep is completed in two phases and takes about 10 weeks, weather permitting. The first phase starts March 30 and includes street sweeping boulevards and major streets including Albert Street and Lewvan Drive. In this phase, the City will also be sweeping the higher-density areas of Harbour Landing, General Hospital, Downtown and Cathedral. The second phase of the sweep will begin in late April and be focused on residential streets. Crews will work 20 hours a day, seven days per week to complete the first phase of the sweep.
In the first phase, cars left in a no-parking zone on a sweep day may be ticketed $120 and towed to allow enough room for crews to sweep the entire road. No-parking zones will be marked with signage.
Residents can prepare for the street sweep by downloading the Sweep&Plow App to learn when crews will be in their neighbourhood.
Street sweepers create dusty conditions that reduce visibility. Residents should close windows and walk on alternative sidewalks. If you see dust and sweeping equipment, leave lots of room for the machinery, slow down and be safe.
Please watch for further updates on the second phase of the spring street sweep.
