Snow Angels Community Grant Program Now Accepting Applications
The City of Regina is now accepting applications for the Snow Angels Community Grant Program, which provides funding to develop and operate volunteer-based, neighbourhood snow removal programs. Any community group or organization, including Community Associations, can apply to run a Snow Angels program.
Successful applicants receive one-time funding to run a snow removal program between October 1, 2024, and April 30, 2025. The programs match volunteers with residents in need (such as people with disabilities, reduced mobility or other barriers) who experience barriers to shoveling snow from their property and would not otherwise be able to access snow removal services.
Applicants can request up to a maximum of $15,000 to cover the costs of equipment, liability insurance, and other eligible expenses. The deadline to submit applications is July 4, 2024, at 4:45 p.m.
The Snow Angels Programs would not be possible without community organizations and volunteers. If your community group or service organization is interested in getting involved to support residents in your area, visit Regina.ca/SnowAngels for more information, including guidelines and how to apply.
