Regina’s Streets Heat Up with The Grind: Snowboarding Action and $30,000 in Prizes
As part of Regina’s Winter City initiative, this year’s FROST Regina festival, presented by Co-op, introduces The Grind, a street-style snowboarding competition, organized in collaboration with Canada Snowboard, that will take place in downtown Regina on January 31 and February 1.
Residents and visitors will experience top-tier athletes performing jaw-dropping maneuvers. There is no cost to attend.
"The Grind is taking over downtown Regina, turning our city into a winter wonderland of adrenaline and snowboarding action. Whether you're here to compete, cheer, or soak up the energy, this event is a celebration of our community’s spirit and love for adventure," says Mayor Chad Bachynski. "Events like this showcase our city’s vibrancy and our ability to embrace the winter season with energy and creativity."
The Grind is supported by the Regina Hotel Association, Tourism Regina, and FROST Regina. To cap off the excitement, attendees can enjoy the FROST Finale fireworks display in Victoria Park, presented by Co-op, at 9 p.m. on February 1, followed by FROST After Party presented by PlayNow and Harvard Media at O’Hanlon’s.
Celebrate the season, cheer on the athletes, and enjoy the thrill of winter sports at The Grind. For a sneak peek of the snowboarding action, watch the Mayor’s video here.
