Compost Giveaway Starts May 4th
To kick off Compost Awareness Week, from May 4-11, the City of Regina is offering FREE compost and wood chips to Regina residents this weekend, while supplies last.
If you are planning a trip to drop your yard waste at the depot on Saturday, May 4, bring your pails and shovels to collect some high-quality compost for the return trip home. Compost is great for landscaping, flower beds and lawns, and is made using organic material collected through the City’s Yard Waste Depot (YWD).
*All compost has now been collected and only wood chips remain.
Dates and Location:
- May 4 at 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
- Site located west of the YWD entrance on Fleet StreetGuidelines:
- This is a self-serve depot
- Bring your own shovel and containers
- Limit five, 5-gallon pails per household
- Tarp and secure loads when transporting
- Signs will be posted to direct traffic flow
- Limited quantities available
