City of Regina Planning Major Renewal for Kinsmen Park South
The City of Regina is hosting an information session on March 1 to share details about the upcoming renewal of Kinsmen Park South. Residents in the neighbourhood have been invited to view the proposed upgrades, ask questions, and provide feedback. Those unable to attend can also explore the designs and submit questions online at Regina.ca/KPS.
Pending budget approval, planned improvements include an accessible playground and spray pad, a year-round inclusive public washroom, new seating areas, and enhanced landscaping. Additionally, a new toboggan hill could be created using excavated materials from the project.
Beyond City-led upgrades, the Regina Ski Club is planning enhancements to the existing cross-country ski trail, which will be completed in phases as funding allows. The club will lead fundraising efforts while coordinating with the City’s renewal project.
With the addition of a four-season accessible washroom, a potential toboggan hill, a skating area, and ski trail improvements, Kinsmen Park South is set to become a premier winter recreation destination in Regina.
