What is notifynow?
notifynow is a mass local notification system designed to warn residents of nearby threats to health, safety or property, and provide essential updates in the aftermath of extreme weather.
Examples of Alerts:
- Major road closures due to flooding
- Evacuation or shelter-in-place orders
- Tornado touchdowns within city limits
- Areas to avoid due to fires
- City-wide service disruptions
- Boil water advisories
- Hazardous chemical spills
- Information about nearby warming/cooling spaces during blizzards and extreme heat waves.
How it works
When an emergency alert is issued by the City of Regina, you will receive either a voice message, email, or text message, depending on your preference. To receive notifications, you must sign-up for notifynow online.
The notifications will advise residents of emergency situations and will provide tips on actions they can take to remain safe. Notifications are available for locations in Regina.
How to sign-up
Signing up is free and you can do it online. Click the link below and register for call, text or email notifications.
- SMS text message (Note: Text message notifications will be sent from a number displayed as 89362 or 89364.) Standard messaging rates may apply. Please consult your service provider. You can save these numbers in your cell phone contacts as notifynow.
Both residents and businesses are encouraged to sign-up. The information provided is confidential and will only be used for the purpose of City notifications.
