Hi, my name is Kelly Miller. I am running for Regina Catholic School Board Trustee. I have a BA in Political Science and English/Communications. I have worked in government communications and research, as well as customer service. I have been married for fifteen years and have a son in Grade 6. I have volunteered and fund-raised for various organizations. I am in my 9th year on the Catholic School Community Council at an inner-city community school, where I serve as the Chair. I am running to be a trustee because I can bring a different background and perspective to the Regina Catholic School Board.
I support:
- Restoring and maintaining per-student funding
- Addressing class size, complexity and school violence
- Having a stable provincial food program
- Improving literacy, math and science proficiency
- The creation of a full-time provincial Kindergarten program
