To the Electorate of Ward 9
I’m Jeff Soroka and I’m asking for your vote on November 13th so that I can represent
you at the City Council.
When elected my obligation first and foremost will be to you the electorate of Ward 9 and I will avail myself to your concerns responding in a timely manner.
On a broader perspective I will work on stopping the hemorrhaging of Capital funds on non-essential programs. We have 3 indoor pools and four outdoor pools and at a time when basic living costs have increased exponentially and we continue to carry a 100, 000.000.00 million dollar loan on our Stadium. Let’s pay off one project before we dive into another.
Section 65 (f) of the Cities Act clearly states that it is council’s responsibility to maintain the financial integrity of the city. Spending 240,000,000.00 on a pool at this time clearly breaches the Act.
