City Launches BeHeard Page on Expanding Citywide Housing Options
Today, the City of Regina announced the launch of a BeHeard page on their work to expand citywide housing options. The BeHeard page provides residents the opportunity to stay informed about work that is underway, sign up to receive updates, and ask questions.
Following Council approval of the first phase of amendments to the Zoning Bylaw on January 31, Administration is continuing to explore options to make more housing available across the city through additional Zoning Bylaw changes. Future phases of work will require approvals through City Council. These amendments are part of the City's Housing Accelerator Fund Action Plan, set to support new housing development applications in spring 2024.
Expanding housing options is part of the City’s commitment to creating a better, more vibrant and more inclusive community. Residents are encouraged to visit the BeHeard page to learn about the project, get regular updates and to ask questions they may have.
