Citizens Encouraged to Update Voter Information Online - Worker Recruitment Begins
Regina citizens will head to the polls on November 13 for the upcoming Municipal/School Board Election this fall. Citizens will vote for a Mayor, City Councillor and School Board Trustees.
Eligible voters must:
- Be a Canadian citizen and at least 18 years of age on the day of the election
- Have lived in Saskatchewan for at least six consecutive months
- Have lived in Regina, or owned land within Regina, for at least three consecutive months
The website, Regina.ca/elections, is a convenient one-stop-shop for everything residents need to vote, or run, in this year’s Municipal/School Board Election.
For the first time, Elections Regina has entered into a data-sharing agreement with Elections Saskatchewan and will be using a registered voters list. Voters are encouraged to update their information online at Regina.ca/elections. Voters can also provide an email address to receive individual voting details electronically.
Registering in advance makes things faster, however all voters will be able to register on location at the polls. If a resident has recently moved or turned 18, their voting information will need to be updated.
