Candidate Information Night on September 19 Call for Nominations Opens Next Week

Residents who are interested in running for Mayor, Councillor or School Board Trustee in the upcoming Municipal & School Board Election are invited to a candidate information night to learn more about running for office:

5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Elections Regina officials will be joined by Returning Officer, Jim Nicol, as well as a previous City Council member and two previous School Board Trustees. They will speak about process, procedures and experiences as elected officials, and respond to any comments or questions from potential candidates.

Candidates are asked to RSVP by email to elections@regina.ca or call 306-751-4479 if they wish to attend.

Elections Regina will begin the official call for nominations on September 25. Anyone wishing to run for office must submit their completed nomination forms during the nomination period, between Wednesday, September 25 and Wednesday, October 9, 2024. Nominations will be accepted between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the Elections Office at 1025 Park Street.
