Options for the future

Each option represents a package of services, and levels of service, related to recycling, waste removal and disposal, and public education. The following is a highlight of each option. See the chart below for a more detailed view.

  1. Current plus service - our current waste system plus extra promotion of our services currently offered and occasional household hazardous waste days.
  2. Enhanced service - would include curb-side recycling pick-up and a permanent household hazardous waste drop off offered on limited days.
  3. Comprehensive service - would include curbside garbage, food waste, leaf and garden waste pick-up and more frequent household hazardeous waste drop off days.

The average cost of waste management services is about $100 per household per year or $8.40 per month.
